Running Accomplishments:

I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances.  My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009.  I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day.  I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.

Next Half Marathon:  Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!

Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th.  Completed: Time of 4:16:58
(better than last year)

Long-Term Running Goals:

It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still  have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time.

Personal:

I am married, no kids, two dogs.  I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

I got up at 6:30 this morning, ate and was out on my run.  With my mother-in-law coming to visit, I needed to get this run in and still have time to shower and clean a little bit.  Thankfully, it all worked out well.

I ran outside this morning as the temperatures were quite mild.  It was dark, but I really needed to get to work a bit earlier than normal for a running day, but didn't want to have to sacrifice mileage.

I ran at the gym this morning as it was dark out and wet.  I wasn't sure if I would be able to complete all 8 miles, but realized I shouldn't have to sacrifice my run time to get to work ten minutes earlier.

I had a pretty good run this morning.  I brought my music with me as I rant in 30 degree termperatures.  It took a couple of miles to really warm up, but after that point I was fine.  Once again, I felt as though my nose was running at a faster pace than I was today.
