Running Accomplishments:

I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances.  My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009.  I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day.  I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.

Next Half Marathon:  Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!

Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th.  Completed: Time of 4:16:58
(better than last year)

Long-Term Running Goals:

It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still  have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time.

Personal:

I am married, no kids, two dogs.  I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

I had a nice run this morning near our home. The weather was cool and I just ran and enjoyed my music and my thoughts.  My average pace was 10:39/ mile.

After walking my dogs with my husband, I finally went for my run.  It was definitely on the slow side, but I felt alright out there.  With it being windy, I chose to run sans music.

I ran at the gym this morning.  I thought that I was only going to get seven miles in, but decided that running an extra 10 minutes, just under actually, was not going to break my morning or cause me to be late.  I should be able to get my runs in without rushing as I work way too many hours as is.

I ran from home this morning. It was way too cold for April as I was back in tights and a hat.  I felt alright, although I could tell my pace was slow.  I noticed this morning that my watch was not on and am concerned that I am having issues with it again, not charging.

I went to the gym this morning for my morning run.  I was a bit tired, but felt alright.  My slowest pace was a 10:00 minute mile, which I maintained for the first 3 miles and then slowly moved at a faster pace.

I went to the gym for my run this morning.  I thought that I was going to have to cut it short due to work, but fortunately that was not the case.  It took a while to get going as I was tired, but fortunately, I was able to complete my goal.  I was also able to keep the pace at 10:00 minute miles and, if not faster as the time went by.

I had a decent run this morning as the weather was perfect, cool and in the mid 50's.  I had my music to keep me company.  My legs felt a bit heavy this morning which surprised me as I had yesterday off.  Maybe using the elliptical Thursday night had an effect.

I thought that after a good night's sleep and perfect running weather that I would have a great run.  Unfortunately, my legs were not feeling it.  They didn't hurt at all, but felt a tad heavy.  My pace was so slow.
