| Location: Athens,GA,USA Member Since: Apr 26, 2009 Gender: Female Goal Type: Boston Qualifier Running Accomplishments: I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances. My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009. I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st. Short-Term Running Goals: I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day. I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.
Next Half Marathon: Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!
Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th. Completed: Time of 4:16:58 (better than last year) Long-Term Running Goals: It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time. Personal: I am married, no kids, two dogs. I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

| It was so nice to sleep in this morning. I worked for a couple of hours before heading out. I was hoping that I would feel good out there, but it took awhile before I even got into a groove. My run was alright, but not nearly as good as yesterday's 10-miler.

| I decided to run outside so that I could get to work a bit earlier and to enjoy the nice weather. Unfortunately, I did a lousy job. I ran my local, close to the house route, which is a bit hilly. I did not push myself at all, when I should have. The only positive is that I completed my distance.

| I was back at the gym this morning and after battling two treadmills with audio problems, I was finally able to get going. I was feeling a bit sluggish and iritated for the first couple of miles, but then I was finally able to get into a groove. I was going to stop after 5 miles, but then reminded myself that I was okay on time and that I deserved to finish my run.

| I got my run in this morning at the gym. I felt decent considering the very long work day I had yesterday. With my half marathon coming up this Sunday, I adjusted the incline just a bit to get used to hills. I was a bit tired, but okay.
