Running Accomplishments:

I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances.  My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009.  I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day.  I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.

Next Half Marathon:  Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!

Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th.  Completed: Time of 4:16:58
(better than last year)

Long-Term Running Goals:

It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still  have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time.

Personal:

I am married, no kids, two dogs.  I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

I was back outside running near home this morning.  It was humid, but cloudy, which made the run not so bad.  My legs were a bit tired, but I managed to finish maintaing a 10:29/ mile pace.

After sleeping in due to the Labor Day holiday, I decided to hit the streets for my morning run.  I brought my music and just tried to enjoy myself.  I had a pretty good time for running around here averaging a 10:16 / mile pace.

I chose to run outside this morning so that I could get to work a bit earlier.  It was, of course, hilly and my time was slow.

I was back at the gym this morning for my run.  The tv in the treadmill was finally working properly, as I could actually clearly see the screen.  I felt a bit sluggish, but was able to maintain my typical treadmill pace.

I had the opportunity to run with my friend this morning.  We ran just over 8 miles together.  The pace was slow, but I was able to get in the last couple of miles on my own at a faster pace.
