Running Accomplishments:

I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances.  My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009.  I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day.  I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.

Next Half Marathon:  Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!

Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th.  Completed: Time of 4:16:58
(better than last year)

Long-Term Running Goals:

It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still  have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time.

Personal:

I am married, no kids, two dogs.  I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

I ran with my running buddy this morning, which was good.  Our conversation was nice and the weather was cool, but pleasant.  I was limited in time as my mother -in-law was on her way into town.

I ran from home in beautiful weather after sleeping in and running a couple of errands with my husband.  It was the first time I have run in shorts and a short sleeve shirt outside this year.

With a lot to do today, I ran from home versus going to the gym.  I don't like to do this too often, because of the darkness, but I felt fine, staying within our neighborhood.

I ran at the gym this morning.  I felt fine throughout, but cut it a mile short since I woke up later than I had planned.

I decided to get up early and run outside instead of going to the gym.  I wanted to run, but felt like I had plenty to do at work.  Running outside and cutting back a mile was my own personal compromise.

After not having a good night's sleep, I got up for my run.  It was cool, but really a beautiful day. My running buddy bailed about 10 minutes prior to me leaving the house, but I went anyway and just brought my music instead.  I had an enjoyable run on my own, even though my pace was slower than I had hoped for.  It was wstill a nice way to start the weekend.

After walking the dogs, I was able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather as temperatures were in the 60's.  My pace wasn't anything to write home about, but at least I got out there and ran.  I never regret getting out there, it just takes a bit more effort some days.

Since I am on spring break, I was able to sleep in prior to my run.  I was able to get out there and enjoy the beautiful weather before meeting my friend for lunch,

After being woken multiple times by my dog who just had surgery, I decided to get my other dog and take him with me for a run.  This also gave me the opportunity to brake in a new pair of running shoes, as my old ones were wearing on the bottoms.

After a lack of sleep, I met my running buddy for our Saturday run. It wasn't fast, but the time and distance flew by, as we went out a 1 1/2 and back for her daughter and then continued on. Temperatures were cool, but mild.  It was a nice way to start the weekend.

After taking a rare Sunday off to rain all morning, I made sure that I got up and ran.  I decided to run outside as I had a lot to do at work.  It was slower than I would have liked, but I was able to maintain a decent pace and not feel the need to walk much.
