| Location: Athens,GA,USA Member Since: Apr 26, 2009 Gender: Female Goal Type: Boston Qualifier Running Accomplishments: I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances. My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009. I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st. Short-Term Running Goals: I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day. I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.
Next Half Marathon: Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!
Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th. Completed: Time of 4:16:58 (better than last year) Long-Term Running Goals: It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time. Personal: I am married, no kids, two dogs. I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

| I ran from home with my music after sleeping in and walking the dogs with my husband. I actually had a better than expected run. I kept reminding myself that I am running the Athens Half in 3 weeks and need to be able to make it up the hills and not look stupid or feel exhausted. I was able to finish averaging a 9:59 per mile pace, which for me, around my route near my house made me very happy.

| I went to the gym this morning for what turned into a good run. I was able to maintain a nice pace for the duration.

| I went to the gym this morning for my run. The only problem was that the gym was not quite open when I got there. I am assuming that the girl who opens overslept as the gym was open by the time my husband arrived. I turned around soon after arriving at the gym and went home to run outside. Due to the time wasted driving, I had to cut a mile of my run. The positive from all of this was that the air was cool with temperatures in the low 60's.

| To get ready for my upcoming half-marathon in two weeks, I needed to get in a good, solid 12 mile run. Thankfully, with my music joining me, I was able to do just that. The weather was cool and comfortable and I felt good throughout.
