| Location: Athens,GA,USA Member Since: Apr 26, 2009 Gender: Female Goal Type: Boston Qualifier Running Accomplishments: I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances. My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009. I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st. Short-Term Running Goals: I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day. I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.
Next Half Marathon: Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!
Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th. Completed: Time of 4:16:58 (better than last year) Long-Term Running Goals: It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time. Personal: I am married, no kids, two dogs. I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

| After sleeping in and walking my dogs I was out for my morning run. The temperature was mild, in the low 70's. I ran slowly, but was happy to get the distance in.

| I was back up at 5:15 this morning so that I could run before my last day of curriculum writing. I must admit that I do love the temperature as the sun is coming up in the morning. Running is always a nice way to begin the day. Time was still not good, but I know that completing the run is still important.

| It was so nice to sleep in this morning as I finally wrapped up my last day of work yesterday. Since the temperatures in the morning are still pleasant, I chose to run outside instead of going to the gym. My time wasn't good, but it was better than how I did yesterday.

| I decided that I needed a change of scenery this morning and went to the gym (I also need to make sure I am utilizing my membership). I am glad that I did as I was able to run faster than I have on the streets. I felt good the entire time, which was nice. I finished in 58 minutes, which I was happy about.

| After not running together for a couple of weeks, my running buddy and I were able to meet up for our Saturday morning long run. Even though the time wasn't good, it was really nice catching up. We ran the first 10 miles and walked the final 1.3.
