| Location: Athens,GA,USA Member Since: Apr 26, 2009 Gender: Female Goal Type: Boston Qualifier Running Accomplishments: I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances. My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009. I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st. Short-Term Running Goals: I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day. I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.
Next Half Marathon: Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!
Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th. Completed: Time of 4:16:58 (better than last year) Long-Term Running Goals: It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time. Personal: I am married, no kids, two dogs. I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

| Due to rainy weather again, I decided to go to the gym with my husband and get my run in there. Once again, the first three miles seemed to drag a bit, but after that I was able to get into a nice groove.

| It was so nice to sleep in this morning and then go for my run. There was still a chance of rain this morning, so I left my music at home. Fortunately, the rain held off and I was able to have a really nice run.

| NEW SHOES - I broke out the new running shoes today as it was one of the first days we had where it wasn't wet outside. I also brought my music along and tried to enjoy the run. My original plan was to go 6 miles, but found myself feeling strong enough to add that extra mile.

| After sleeping in and taking the dogs on a short walk, I went out for my run to start the new year. I started off a bit sluggish, but after about 3 miles, I was able to get into a good groove.

| Due to cool and rainy weather once again, I went to the gym with my husband instead of running outside. It took a good couple of miles for me to get into a good rhythem and not feel bored. Once I hit mile 3 or so, I was fine. My husband extended his workout so that I could get my minimum distance in for the day.
