Running Accomplishments:

I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances.  My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009.  I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day.  I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.

Next Half Marathon:  Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!

Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th.  Completed: Time of 4:16:58
(better than last year)

Long-Term Running Goals:

It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still  have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time.

Personal:

I am married, no kids, two dogs.  I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

It was nice and cool this morning.  I had to break out the running tights for the first time this year as temperatures were in the mid 40's.  I had run with my running buddy and another member of our group.  We ran most of our regular route and added a portion of the campus in as well since today was a home game for UGA.

I love the fall back part of EDT ending.  It was so nice to sleep in, run and be done by 9:30.  My run went alright as the weather was mild.  My music definitely kept me entertained.

I went to the gym this morning for my run.  I felt pretty good but had to limit my mileage to 5 so that I could do some stuff at work.

I had the opportunity to sleep in this morning as we were furloughed today.  I went to the gym and got my 6 miles in.  It was nice not to be in a rush.

My original plan was to run outside this morning, but it was cold and rainy, thereforeI ran at the gym.  I felt okay, but had to limit my mileage to 5 so that I could get to work a bit earlier.
