| Location: Athens,GA,USA Member Since: Apr 26, 2009 Gender: Female Goal Type: Boston Qualifier Running Accomplishments: I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances. My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009. I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st. Short-Term Running Goals: I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day. I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.
Next Half Marathon: Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!
Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th. Completed: Time of 4:16:58 (better than last year) Long-Term Running Goals: It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time. Personal: I am married, no kids, two dogs. I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

| I had a pretty good run this morning as the air was a bit on the cool side. The only downside was that I felt some chafing after about 6 miles. Lets just say that the shower afterwards was not a whole lot of fun. It looks as though I will need biker shorts for my runs for the next few days.

| After a late, yet fun night, I got myself up with my husband this morning. The air was still a bit cool this morning, which made my run feel that much better. It is amazing how a few degrees and a little less humidity can make such a difference.

| I debated about going to the gym this morning, but chose to run outside instead. It went alright as it wasn't too awful outside. My original plan was to walk today and run tomorrow, but due to an appointment tomorrow, I chose to run today. I was concerned that my legs would be betat, but they held up okay.

| I ran on my own this morning as my running buddy was in Atlanta getting ready for the annual Peactree race. I was up before 6 and out the door by 6:30. I am so glad that I was up earlier as the temperature hovered around 70 with overcast skies. I even felt a bit of rain, which cooled me off a bit. I felt pretty good the entire time, which was nice for a 10 miler.
