| Location: Athens,GA,USA Member Since: Apr 26, 2009 Gender: Female Goal Type: Boston Qualifier Running Accomplishments: I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances. My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009. I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st. Short-Term Running Goals: I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day. I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.
Next Half Marathon: Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!
Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th. Completed: Time of 4:16:58 (better than last year) Long-Term Running Goals: It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time. Personal: I am married, no kids, two dogs. I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

| I finally got myself back to the gym this morning for my run. I felt alright, but chose not to worry about my pace, running a bit slower than usual.

| I was able to get a nice early morning run in today. It was cold, with temperatures in the mid 30's, but I was dressed properly. I felt good the whole time, averaging 10:31 per mile as my music kept me company.

| I ran outside this morning so that I could get to work a bit earlier. My phone said that the rain scheduled would be later in the day. Of course, when I stepped outside it was misting and then by mile 7 it started raining. Outside of me bringing my iPod, I was fine with it. The temperatures were mild, which made it comfortable.

| Since I am heading out of town early tomorrow morning, I chose to run today instead. I was woken up early by one of my dogs and couldn't fall back to sleep, therefore I chose to get up and run. It worked out well as I was able to get my miles in and get to work with some time to get some stuff done. My pace was also good, which is rare when I run from home in my neighborhood.

| This was my first of two runs while visiting my family in N.Y. I was a bit concerned about the cold and time, therefore I chose to run 7 miles instead of 8. I wound up running really well, which I was very happy about. I also got myself home in time to bake a really good cake, which I was bringing over to a family get-together.

| I decided to go for a short run this morning. I originally thought that I would be making up mileage from earlier in the week (only one as it turns out). I then realized that I should run a couple of more as there was a tasty cupcake sitting on my kitchen counter.
