Running Accomplishments:

I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances.  My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009.  I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day.  I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.

Next Half Marathon:  Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!

Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th.  Completed: Time of 4:16:58
(better than last year)

Long-Term Running Goals:

It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still  have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time.

Personal:

I am married, no kids, two dogs.  I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

I pleasantly surprised to see that there were not many cars out as I enjoyed my 2nd run while in NY visiting my family.  I was able to put together a good 8 mile route.

I was so tired when I started this run, but thankfully I was able to wake up a bit and have a good day.  The weather was a tad warmer than it had been, but not bad.  It helped that it was so early as I started soon after the sun came up.  I was also fortunate enough to avoid most of the traffic issues.

I went to the gym this morning since I did not feel like battling the humidity.  Temperatures were close to 80 and I felt the gym would be a better option.  The first few miles felt slow, but I finally got into a groove about halfway through.  I wasn't sure if I was going to make it to my goal of 8 miles, but thankfully, I was able to do so.

I got myself up early this morning for my 10-mile run.  I am glad that I did as it was humid, but the clouds were covering the sun for the most part.  I brought my music to keep me company
