| Location: Athens,GA,USA Member Since: Apr 26, 2009 Gender: Female Goal Type: Boston Qualifier Running Accomplishments: I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances. My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009. I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st. Short-Term Running Goals: I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day. I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.
Next Half Marathon: Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!
Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th. Completed: Time of 4:16:58 (better than last year) Long-Term Running Goals: It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time. Personal: I am married, no kids, two dogs. I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

| I actually had a nice, long nights sleep last evening. After getting up and walking the dogs, I went our for my run. I left the music due to a chance of rain, which was smart as I was rained on for at least half my run. I felt pretty good after the first couple of miles and finished with an average pace of 10:28/ mile.

| I went to the gym to get my run in this morning. It took me about 3 miles to get in a decent groove, but from there I was good to go. For the past month or so, when I am at the gym, I start at a 10:20 pace, increasing the pace each mile. I then increase every .2 of a mile during the 8th mile.

| I ran at the gym this morning, which went well. Even though I didn't get much sleep, I still felt like a woman on a mission when I got up. I even started the treadmill at a slightly faster pace than normal.

| I ran with my running buddy for the first time in a few weeks. We ran the first 7 miles together, which was slow, but the conversation necessary. After she finished, I completed the final 3.1 miles on my own running at a decent pace. I had the pleasure of running on campus for the first gameday run of the year. I love the music as I run out there.
