Running Accomplishments:

I have completed 13 marathons, 13 half marathons and a variety of shorter distances.  My PR in the marathon is now 4:11:44, December 2009.  I finished my last half on October 30, 2010 and set a new PR by 48 seconds with a time of 1:53:48. Next race: Athens Half Marathon- Sunday, October 21st.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I would love to improve my times without stressing too much on race day.  I would like to become a fitter and stronger runner.

Next Half Marathon:  Silver Comet Half Marathon on Saturday, October 30th. Completed: Time of 1:53:48 PR!

Next Marathon: Soldier Marathon in Columbus, GA on Saturday, November 12th.  Completed: Time of 4:16:58
(better than last year)

Long-Term Running Goals:

It would be pretty awesome to qualify for Boston, and I am now closer than I was before, but I still  have to knock just over 25 minutes off my time.

Personal:

I am married, no kids, two dogs.  I am a schoolteacher who moved in June 2009 from Florida to Georgia.

After sleeping in and walking my dogs, I was able to head out for my run this morning.  It was cold, but I had my music to keep my company.  I started out slower than I wanted to, but finished with an average pace of 10:04/ mile.

I ran a double today as I completed five miles this morning at the gym and then another 5 when I got home from work.  It was windy and cold when I got home, but I persevered as it ws nice not to feel the need to run 6 miles as I have in the past.

I ran at the gym this morning since I had a meeting after work.  I felt fine as I finished my mileage in under 50 minutes.

I had a really good run this morning as I ran on my own near our house.  It was cold as temperatures were in the upper 20's, but I had my music and ran on rested legs.  I was able to complete the distance in under 1:40, with an average pace of 9:51/ mile.
